Title: Crank Weights. 1000DS & 1100DS Motors
Post by: koko64 on February 22, 2018, 03:57:52 AM
Are there any differences in the bottom ends of these motors or is the 1100DS just a big bore version? Flywheel, alternator, crank, timing and primary gears the same? The 1100 Multi had a wet clutch, M1000, M1100, MTS1000 dry clutch.

Random samples in the category, not an exhaustive search:

'03-'10 1000 and 1100 share the same crank part# 14620911A according to parts info.

'11-'13 1100 have crank 14621931AR, totally different part number, so there should be some significant difference.
How that effects interchange/fitment, no idea.

Primary gears vary due to different configuration of wet/dry.
