Title: Removal of stock bar ends???
Post by: Harps on March 12, 2018, 09:48:52 PM
Hey guys, new to Monster ownership, but been riding and working on my own bikes (the basics) for about 18 years.  Sounds like a stupid question, I'm sorry...and I did try to search to no avail....but how do you remove the stock bar ends on a Monster?  It's a '99 M750. The bar ends sorta look like this pics here...

Just round plastic things....I've always had bar ends that have an Allen key type screw at the end.

I got some bar-end mirrors I wanna install...

I've found no easy way to remove them without damaging them. That being said, if you don't plan to reuse them, just grab with a pair of pliers and twist until they come out.

As Nakid said.  If you ever need them again they are cheap.

Got it, thanks guys.  So just grab 'em and pull 'em...are they like screwed in, or just held by tension?  I don't plan on re-using them.

EDIT - nevermind, found a schematic, looks like they're just popped in there

Yup, just tension.
