Title: chain/sprocket recommendations? Post by: Nibor on May 17, 2018, 02:54:06 AM Hi all, been a while!
so due to poor maintenance, my current chain has overstretched and is munching the rear sprocket too due to the same fact. time for a new set all round. currently running 15/44, but will be switching to 14/41 to obtain an extremely similar ratio but allow for a case saver/sprocket cover to be fitted at the front end (thanks StradaFab!) this is on a 98 m750, its a 520 chain. i usually grab the supersprox kit with front, rear, and an RK GB520GXW chain, but the front stealth sprocket seems to be discontinued. hence my request for recommendations!! parts are required in Australia, thats my other dilemma. shipping from USA seems to be extortionate, even though the truces for parts are much better. bit of a trade off. anyways, older monster owners, recommend away! The rear are Superlite, steel, but if my memory works are as light as Supersprox and the front are Afam steel with lightening holes.

I really like the Superlight sprockets. I think its worth paying a bit more. Use a new front sprocket clip too. As far as chains go, get the best quality you can afford from a major mfr. Because Im running raised ride height I use more chain slack and therefore use a very strong race quality chain that can handle the extra lash. I stay with a 15t front sprocket for the same reason, but if you run stock ride height a 14t should be fine. Title: Re: chain/sprocket recommendations?
