Title: Torque spec for belt tensioner pulley [conflicting info]??
Post by: chipripper on May 19, 2018, 12:53:24 PM
The torque values thread lists:
Idler/tensioner pulley mounting stud  M20x1  50  45  55  LOCK 2 or THREE BOND 1324

I feel like I am going to strip threads before my wrench clicks. I noticed the ChrisKelly video for the DS engine said 20-25 ft lbs (@33.9 NM). I set it to the 25 ft lbs, and it felt "good and tight". Which setting is right, and what would Y'all do?

I don't think that spec is for anything on your bike.

Can you post a pic of which screw or red arrow in a screen grab pic or ? ? ?

The two silver ones that hold the tension adjustment pulley.

I`ve used 42 Nm and 222 Loctite on my 900`s. Did not feel like maltreating threads. Always worked, dozens of times.

I thought about 27NM/20ft-lbs.
