Title: 907ie info
Post by: Dirty Duc on June 26, 2018, 04:36:58 PM
My brother has two, that have admittedly seen better days. But they are complete except for fuel pumps. What are they going for these days?

Do I want to fix one up to be the sport tourer?

Or just sell the dogs as they sit? Worry about making them run first with incorrect fuel pumps?

Pretty cool sports tourers IMO. First Ducati I rode was a 907 and I was impressed.

Maybe an externally set up CCW pump would do the trick.
The Pasoists love em. The right buyer would pay extra.

Pm sent.

Price will depend a lot on condition, I imagine.

Some folks use em and really love em.

I've only had 750 Pasos in, those are a bit of a pain to work on.

So it's my understanding and physical evidence backs me up, that the in-tank pumps aren't well suited for external use. I'm not sure I buy the "externally cooled" marketing, but I definitely buy the "no useful physical interface" that is the case here.

I hear that carbed pasos are universally terrible for a number of reasons, namely tires and choice of carburetor. These have neither of those faults.

One has been lightly modded for sure, the other may have been repainted. One is yellow and the other looks like a home made attempt to do the red and green look.

I don't really know enough about them, and the Paso forums I found before were difficult to navigate real info.

I liked the ducatipaso.org site. Lots of good info and a dedicated group of enthusiasts.

++1 on ducatipaso.org, all info you need and helpful community, FAQ`s for each model.
Info of replacement pump is there.

Very nice sporttouring bike w unique style.
17" wheels so no problemos tires.
Their injected engines far less problematic than adjusting earlier models double Weber.
Repainted custom colours=less value.

I still miss it:
