Title: Removing 696 tank.
Post by: fingerpuk on August 18, 2018, 05:26:04 AM
My bike will be 10 years old next summer, so today she came off the road for a nice long rebuild. A chance to put a load of new bits on her while I learn about mechanics.

First task is removing the tank, I want it entirely off the bike. Do I undo these? If so, how? They are bloody tight!

Don't know, but what does your service manual say?

Also, why do this now during summer? That's what winter is for.  ;)

No, the fuel lines unhook from the fuel pump flange at the rear of the tank.
