Good looking bike!  The Indian shop back in Raleigh and the one here in Orange County are cool stores.  Surprisingly affordable merchandise.

Are you talking about the one in North Raleigh that also sells KTM, Ducati, and BMW?

Original Indian Motorcycles went out of business in 53. Gilroy aquired the name in 99 and built them till 03. They used a lot of HD parts. Julius and Hesse took control of the brand name in 04 and built bikes in Kings Mountain NC., were building by 08. Polaris bought them out in 11. There have been no actual Indian bikes since 53, they’ve all just used/purchased the brand name.

Since Polaris owns the brand and built them with new engine designs, wouldn't it be fair to say they are "Indians" now. I know there is no connection to the '53 bikes, other than some styling and other design elements.
