Title: Wheel question...S4R to M1100
Post by: 09Aircooled on September 22, 2018, 05:19:16 PM
Will wheels from a. 2008 Ducati Monster S2R1000 fit a 09 M1100? Seller says that these wheels will fit all Ducati 748/916/996/996S/998/998S/S2R/S4R models (the front wheel will also work with numerous other Ducati models)...want to make sure as I'd like to get them for my bike.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure your '09 M1100 has a DSSA.

S2R has a SSSA.

If I'm right, it won't fit.

Actually my bike does have a single sided swing arm...so if that's the case they would fit then, right?

Rear wheel will fit.
Front will have 6-bolt flanges for the discs, yours are 5.

Are there adapters or any way to make them work? Any/all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC, 6-bolt 10mm offset rotors and some 5mm spacers with longer bolts for that front wheel.
Axle spacers will need to be different.

Rear will bolt right on.
Confirm caliper/spokes and other clearances before tightening anything up.

I guess I should have paid more attention to the 3rd gen Monsters.
