Title: first my catalyitic stolen in SF now this... hit and run!
Post by: bosco on July 23, 2008, 02:38:21 PM
Asshats. All of them. A couple of months ago, my cat was stolen out of my Toyota truck in SF.

Two nights ago, at my night job - Trials Pub- I lock the bar for the night and walk out to my OG paint 61 vw beetle ragtop. -long story short- my runningboard is smashed against the door and there is a big swipe of white paint across the door and rear panel. The best part - no note. :(

-and not to mention a year ago, someone backed into my 69 bug and caved in the fender, my toyota has been swiped in parkinglots for years and a LOANER GS1100 BMW was mysteriously moved and when inspected had a nice fat dent in the tank.. not even my bike!

rant over.. uggggg

Time to move to a more civilized place? :)

I've heard cats are popular targets. The local yard gives $80 for them I think. Wish I'd have known that before I hollowed out the one on my Passat when I had it ;)

$60 for radiators...keep that hood locked.

I don't think i'd be able to handle having a decent car/bike in some of the areas you people live in. Maybe it's my happy small town world (60k). Might also be my general distaste for people.

The catalyst is generally a very precious metal, commonly Platinum.
