Title: old M projects, ongoing projects etc Post by: savetheclutch on February 21, 2019, 05:34:21 AM hey guys, new to the forum but funny enough I found my first monster here about 7 years ago and that one bike started a bit of an obsession.
2002 M750 (https://i.imgur.com/fFyHuR6.jpg) then I bought a 1198S, a few other monsters, a 998 etc etc here are a couple of my current monster projects: this one started as a M620 (https://i.imgur.com/8lnodU5.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/l7azhWb.jpg) We took the bike apart, did the valves and belts, powdercoated a bunch of parts (https://i.imgur.com/QfjLaKt.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/2f6Y9jp.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/JUctZqu.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/6gA8lPA.jpg) we took a set of sport classic wheels apart and powdercoated them (https://i.imgur.com/ISefw9z.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/TdXaJ8p.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/yzGgKZ6.jpg) and the final product (https://i.imgur.com/Nu2GcS3.jpg) the garage at that point (https://i.imgur.com/N2giSpS.jpg) Title: Re: old M projects, ongoing projects etc Post by: savetheclutch on February 21, 2019, 06:10:08 AM After finishing the bike I took it for a ride, and holly crap the 620 is slow!! then right after that the bike started running on one cylinder :(

I guess the 620 should feel slow after some of the bikes you ride. Be great to see how the 800 transplant goes. An 1100Evo motor has quite vivid performance and holds it own against the super bikes everywhere except the track main straight where 100hp is lacking nowdays. That Supersport looks interesting. this weekend was a great success got some more stuff done on the s2r, got the tires on but unfortunately we received the wrong bearings and a few little parts didnt come back from powder coating so we could not get it on it's own 2 wheels (https://i.imgur.com/pLjN2od.jpg) (https://i.imgur.com/fZDvdIV.jpg) my Friend and garage partner got working on his 1098 which was sitting for a while after he lowsided at the tack last year (https://i.imgur.com/n5WldL2.jpg) but the good news is that the M800 and the sport classic are back on the road!!
