"Stealing" a tow from Rossi isn't cool and must be punished 8) Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: ducpainter on September 14, 2019, 09:51:36 AM "Must be registered" :-\ Registering, and having a video pass is different. You don't have to pay.I suppose giving up an email addy is still a price. :-\ Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: Speeddog on September 14, 2019, 10:48:27 AM IIRC, Marquez got a tow off of Rossi to steal Pole away from him at Silverstone, yes?
Marquez playing games with folk that have nothing to lose in jamming him up. So he got served. First turn after the start at Misano is not a good place to be mid pack. Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: duccarlos on September 14, 2019, 07:28:28 PM MM had already messed up the lap, so Rossi took the opportunity to remind him that he was still there

Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: duccarlos on September 15, 2019, 04:51:20 AM MM was playing with his food in the race. Just sitting behind Quatararo until the last lap
Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: kopfjäger on September 15, 2019, 08:59:07 AM MM, FQ and MV were gone early. Nobody else in the field was anywhere near them. My boy lost pace for several laps, then started laying down the fastest laps. Not sure what was going on. (?) Fabio almost ran over Marc on that last lap and that sealed the deal. Classy of the eyetalian fans to boo during the national anthem. [roll]
Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: koko64 on September 15, 2019, 01:03:32 PM Good summary.
Loving Moto GP. I didnt hear the booing, but thats dissappointing. One eyed fans shit me as these guys are super athletes, there have been plenty worse than MM. I thought Rossi deserved a grid penalty for deliberate baulking in practice, and that thought crossed my mind when Quarter nearly hit MM on that corner. Maybe it was an honest brake, point and shoot save by MM, but if it wasnt, he fooled the commentators. I think this generation has surpassed the previous one with the advanced skill and racecraft to hide dirty tricks amidst "race incidents", but hasnt the balls to openly punch on in the pits. Kinda like the difference between ice hockey and soccer. Clearly Im from another generation. Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: duccarlos on September 16, 2019, 02:12:00 AM So it's not just me. Not just youTitle: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: koko64 on September 16, 2019, 02:50:53 AM Good I wasn't having a senior moment ;D
Deliberate brake checking should be penalised. What do the rules say? Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: ducpainter on September 16, 2019, 02:56:32 AM Good I wasn't having a senior moment ;D Why?Deliberate brake checking should be penalised. What do the rules say? It's a race tactic, just like a block pass. Should those be penalized, also? Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: koko64 on September 16, 2019, 03:08:20 AM I reckon there's a difference between the two. You can see the block pass easier than an extra squeeze of the brake and that's where the danger is. A rider sees the block pass but a brake check is more dangerous IMO. There's no brake lights and it's deliberate baulking but using the brake instead of bike position. Deliberate baulking in some circumstances can be sanctioned iirc.

Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: koko64 on September 16, 2019, 03:21:08 AM I had lots of people complain about my block passes ;D
Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: ducpainter on September 16, 2019, 03:30:54 AM I had lots of people complain about my block passes ;D LoL :PThe way I see it, it's racing at the highest level, and shouldn't be sanitized. JMO I'm also not promoting the idea that it should get so dangerous as to cause injury. It's a fine line. Marc schooled Fabio very much like Valentino schooled Marc. There will be many more great races between these two in the future. HiHo...off to work. Title: Re: Moto GP Misano...Spoiled Post by: duccarlos on September 16, 2019, 03:36:05 AM LoL :P This! Like I said above, MM was playing with his food that whole race. He knew that they were the only 2 with the pace. I think MM wanted to see what the new kid has, especially since his biggest competition is in a downswing. The way I see it, it's racing at the highest level, and shouldn't be sanitized.
