Title: Re: Aragon Post by: Speeddog on September 20, 2019, 04:23:15 PM MM was on fire in FP1, 1.6 sec ahead of Mav in 2nd.
Tomorrow ~40% chance of rain, so anything can happen. Sunday supposed to be OK. Barring disaster, I think he's gonna run away. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: kopfjäger on September 20, 2019, 06:25:41 PM FP2 🇪🇸

Well done Dovi and Jack :D Title: Re: Aragon Post by: kopfjäger on September 22, 2019, 08:04:42 AM MM 🚀
My boy gave it everything the Yammy had, but Dovi and Jack just walked him down. Some good battles in the middle of the field today. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: ducpainter on September 22, 2019, 11:56:54 AM Three runaway winners, and great battles for the podium behind.
Maverick didn't stand a chance being so down on power. The Duc boys didn't have to do anything crazy to make their passes. Just wait for the back straight... see ya. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: koko64 on September 22, 2019, 01:38:49 PM Jack is learning about tyre management and Dovi appears a good guy to watch regarding that. In local interviews Jack has talked about all that Ducati power being useless without traction and how he'd ride balls out like in Moto3 only to go backwards in the last half of the race. I guess the riders are required to technically manage the bikes in a way we havent seen before.
Dovi is unlucky in the way top ten contenders were during Ali's era, without Marquez around he would already have a couple of Premiere class championships. Biaggi and Gibber had the same issue with Rossi. You had to feel for Mav. MM managed that race so comfortably. His adaptability around the bikes weaknesses while exploiting its strengths is breathtaking in the manner of a younger Rossi. Really impressive to watch. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: Speeddog on September 22, 2019, 10:56:38 PM Mav was doing well til he used up his tire.
Rins was out of control, musta left his brain in the motorhome. Really a shame that Pol got hurt. Aleix ridin the wheels offa that Ape. Lorenzo squandering resources like nobody ever. Danilo's wagon is down on the axles, all 4 wheels gone. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: duccarlos on September 23, 2019, 05:38:09 AM Ducati made a mistake extending Danilo's contract. Beyond being loyal, you already have a number one rider that can take a young guy under his wing. Having an Italian and a Aussie on the Duc is perfect harmony.
Title: Re: Aragon Post by: ducpainter on September 23, 2019, 02:55:02 PM Maybe...
but...has Jackass won a race? Title: Re: Aragon Post by: koko64 on September 23, 2019, 04:30:33 PM Only in the wet so far..
Magilla can win in the dry on his day, I don't know what's up with him as I expected him to be close behind Dovi most races. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: duccarlos on September 24, 2019, 10:03:10 AM Maybe... But he has the potential if he’s mentored. How many race wins do you see in Petrux future? but...has Jackass won a race? Title: Re: Aragon Post by: ducpainter on September 24, 2019, 11:25:31 AM But he has the potential if he’s mentored. How many race wins do you see in Petrux future? Hard sayin'. I think both of them have potential.Dovi mentored Danilo, and he won a race, and finished in the top six up until he did win... then as Nick correctly says, the wheels have come off the wagon. It happens. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: duccarlos on September 24, 2019, 11:32:02 AM I still always like the idea of mentoring young talent. They cut their teeth on the satellite bikes, which many are now factory spec. This allows you to really evaluate their skills. Then you hopefully bring them up to the factory team where you provide that extra attention for them to take the final step. Dovi would be a great mentor to Jack, especially as Do I seems to be in his prime now.
Title: Re: Aragon Post by: kopfjäger on September 24, 2019, 01:12:22 PM Ducati needs to steal Mav. I’m sure he can ride that beast.
Title: Re: Aragon Post by: ducpainter on September 24, 2019, 01:29:39 PM Ducati needs to steal Mav. I’m sure he can ride that beast. He'd be like Flounder from Animal House. :-*Title: Re: Aragon Post by: kopfjäger on September 24, 2019, 02:05:42 PM :D That doesn’t even make sense.

Yamaha riders have historically done quite poorly on Ducatis. Mav with 2 years on the Suzuki and 2 1/2 on the Yamaha... I think he's struggle a lot. Title: Re: Aragon Post by: koko64 on September 24, 2019, 03:05:16 PM OK. They're all make the beast with two backsing weenies. In balance, young people have dreams of being a champion. I must be getting cranky Title: Re: Aragon Post by: kopfjäger on September 24, 2019, 03:12:20 PM OK. They're all make the beast with two backsing weenies. They’re not weenies, they’re just high strung. I’m pretty sure nobody on this forum is a current MotoGP racer.
