The 2 Porsche’s and the 2 Vettes are hanging together, but the BMW is leading the GTLM class at this point. Gonna be a long night. Damnit! #3 Vette just got run off the track by a GTD car. Appears to be minimal damage.

He’s not only racing in the 24, but in two separate classes, LMP2 and GTD. So he can’t race (or any driver) more than 4hrs in a 6hr period. When he gets out of one or the other cars, he starts his watch timer for 2hrs. Oh, and this is his 5th time doing this. He’s 48.

Temperature has been steadily dropping. Lap times will be their fastest for the next several hours. This feels like a sprint race still, everyone is getting after it.

IMSA/Tv is a free site. They’re not showing the race, but at the bottom of the page you can click on one of the cars. No announcers, just rolling.

The BMW has held the lead in GTLM over the 2 new Porches and the Vettes. #3 Corvette is in 3rd right now. #912 Porsche just passed the BMW. This is gonna get good. He did really well, I know he did at least 2 double stints in the car. They had a mechanical in #14 Lexus. Kyle ran some of the fastest laps on the car and made up some ground, but they ended up 9th in the GTD class. Pretty impressive debut, and I think he’s hooked.
