Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: duccarlos on February 05, 2020, 11:56:12 AM Even though it's great to see the KTM at the top of the timing sheet, it seems that all the other manufacturers improve their bikes by similar rates, so in the end KTM gets better, but so do Ducati, Yamaha and Suzuki. The only manufacturer that can afford to get worse and still compete is Honda, since they have MM riding the crap out of any turd he's given.

Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: duccarlos on February 10, 2020, 11:03:11 AM Sounds like Ducati is having all sorts of issues with the new Michelin rear

Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: koko64 on February 11, 2020, 12:59:20 PM The close margin is great with the new Michelin, but a concern for Ducati. I appears Ducati made another jump in power too.
Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: duccarlos on February 11, 2020, 01:42:32 PM I believe they're hoping that the issues were mainly due to being in Sepang (hot and humid conditions). Ducati has done well in Qatar in recent years. My main concern is that Ducati did great in the Sepang test, which probably propelled them into Qatar. If they can't come to grips (see what I did there) with the new Michelin, they're in deep shit.
Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: koko64 on February 11, 2020, 01:46:38 PM Yep. Jack was running the hard rear which helped.
Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: duccarlos on February 11, 2020, 02:03:05 PM yeah, but when you're trying a time attack, only a few can pull it off with the hard rear. The good news is that the top riders were really close. Dovi never goes for all out speed during these tests, but considering how MM dominated last season with likely a better Duc on paper and both Yamaha and Suzuki looking like they took a big step forward with the new tires...
Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: koko64 on February 11, 2020, 02:48:15 PM MM can ride around it for sure.
Title: Re: Sepang Shakedown Testing 🇲🇾 Post by: duccarlos on February 13, 2020, 07:35:47 AM My concern is that Yamaha looks like they fixed their traction issues and/or received a gift from Michelin with this new tire. I would be less concerned with Suzuki since their riders are not as consistent as Fabio, MV and Vale. A healthy MM can ride a tricycle to a win.
