Yep, dumbmake the beast with two backs panic buying and onselling at scalper prices.
Stores are now limiting how much one person may purchase.

Our local Costco has a HUGE parking lot.  I have never seen it more than a third full during the week. Today it was almost full at 2PM on a Friday.  I turned around and will get my back up stash from my parents if I run out.  Lucky for me they horde stuff like that already.

I'm more worried about my cats at this point. I am out of litter except for what is in the litter box right now lol.  I get that at Costco too.

I just secured a 6 pack of rolls from a friend of mine who scored 4 packages yesterday.

I can't believe I'm begging for TP but grateful that's all I'm begging for at this point. .

The one Costco I tried (but failed) to get into yesterday said they're out of stock for 2 weeks.

Just found this DIY gem  ;D

Buy multi packs of cotton athletic socks
Cut cotton socks into 3 - 4 sections.
Use wisely.

Awake early as usual this morning so I decided to try the stores when they first opened.

Store 1, open at 5am:  bare shelves
Store 2, open at 6am:  bare shelves

"No TP for you!"

I didn't want to have to rely on my friends who have hoarded TP but I'm done dealing with the stores and the masses.

I've had an above average # of battles this week and TP does not need to be on that list (thanks to friends).

substitute wiping materials that are going to be flushed. Could be a busy couple of months,

     Hope people use some thought.

I will be able to trade beer for TP if it comes to that!

In Greece, they kindly ask that you do not flush your wiping material (at least back in 1996). There is generally a waste basket/bucket next to the toilet to dispose of paper (or whatever) wiping products.

I'm waiting for when the stores are restocked and no one is buying TP because they already have a big stash at home. Then it goes on sale. Score! [thumbsup]

And beer.

I went to the local Sam's Club yesterday at opening time to find a mob of idiots waiting to get in. After the initial crowd got in, I headed in to see most everyone heading back to the paper products corner. While I quietly grabbed charcoal and steak.

Not being a hoarder we really were running low on toilet paper.  Fairway, no toilet paper, Whalgreens, no toilet paper, wash rinse, repeat.  Stop at the neighborhood housewares store, BINGO.  Fair price, bought 16 rolls.  I thanked them for not gouging.  That should suffice until stores stock up again.

A man walks into a bank wearing a mask.

Everyone freaks out.

“Relax," he says, "I'm just here to rob the place."

I'm in the same boat, would love a little time off for the couple of bike projects I have going on.

Maybe a little early yard work too, assuming the weather stays mild and the snow doesn't return.

I closed the shop, most of my clients are from NYC anyway
I think I will incorporate a zombie somewhere in the paint scheme, lol

Got the S4Rs dropped off last night.  Work allowed me to work from home, but I can sneak into the garage for a bit here and there.

Also, had a friend who works at a grocery store stash 12 rolls for our family. Gonna go pick them up today.

Guess who scored bathroom paper products today?

This one.   :)

Digging through my old jeep looking for the missing front wheel skewer while at the bike park (which I could not find so could not ride) BUT there was a box of kleenex under the passenger seat.

Relying on friends for this particular need only when circumstances become dire.

Went to two Costco's today, both busy but nothing too crazy. No TP. People were waiting in the back while they were unloading trucks to see what was coming out. Someone said they were not sure what was coming on the trucks but I find that hard to believe. A pallet of bleach came out and people swarmed on it. The worker politely said hang on let me at least put it in it's location first. Which was only 10 ft away.

My work has closed down some sections but for me it's still report to work as usual.

Tried to score some TP on my way to work this morning, thinking maybe something got stocked overnight. No such luck.  :P

Things are going to get dire on that front at home soon, I guess I try again after work. Or resort to the 'natural artisanal toilet paper' on the ground under the trees around the compound.  ;)

Local supply chains are slowly restoring normal food/sundry supply levels here.  Dustykitska and I shop for ourselves and another house, so that makes it a bit more difficult.  So far, all is working out.

I haven't seen TP on store shelves here (DFW area) for two weeks or so.

I'm single and live alone.

Had a small supply, but starting to dwindle after WFH for two weeks.

One of my neighbors, who is also a coworker, picked up a 24 pack this weekend.  They shared 6 rolls with me this morning, on provisional.
