The loop hole answer so far is that (by and large) most sporting events haven't been cancelled, simply postponed (although indefinitely). That is where the distinction is; refunds for cancelled events and no refund until an event IS cancelled.
People on payment plans have been charged for baseball (and other) season tickets. It is a mess. I have no answers, I'm just bored.
