I love it. I especially love that it's a 4-door, talk about a sleeper.

It reminds me of a daily driver a buddy had back in the early 1990s, a 1962 Fairlane 4-door. At the time he and I and a bunch of other guys basically lived at the dragstrip on weekends; he had built a new engine with a fresh automatic for his '68 Mustang drag car, and suddenly the older, somewhat (barely) tamer 289 and 4-speed had no home. A long weekend thrash later and it was all parked in his ratty, lightly rusty, robin's egg blue Fairlane. We fabbed a big tube exhaust coming off the headers with two mufflers per side to quiet it down, and stuffed cheater slicks on the back. A snow tire on a mismatched rim went on one of the front hubs for effect. The thing was a ball, and spanked a lot of pretty serious stuff on the street back then.

Ah, the memories.  ;D

A friend of mine growing up had a 63 Fairlane 2 door sedan with a Vortech supercharged 302 that was a sort of light mud brown and it was absolutely insane. It looked like your grandma's car but would get downright angry when it needed to be.

It was stupid awesome and arguably to this day is still one of my favorite "sleepers".

Bravo to both [clap].

A mate had a slothful GM Holden 1973 HQ with sludgy 202 six cylinder "red" motor.  It had loud twin pipes and could barely hit 90 mph, but when he pulled a plug cable to make it run on 5, it shook, sounded and idled like a worked, cammed 454 big block.  No one, even in worked 308, 327 and 350 V8's were game to drag him at the lights. [laugh]

Beer bottle brown LTD-II (think 4-dr 80’s Fox bodied Mustang).  Rumor had it at a twin turbocharged 351W.  Only saw twice and only saw it run once, but that was enough...

Early to mid 90’s in suburban Detroit...
