Ok, so the Sport 1000 has the Zard,
What is the best looking exhaust on the S2R line of Monsters?
Pics please!
All a matter of opinion. The big four are probably these but there's plenty more out there.

the microphone is garbage but it'll make pedestrians check their pants.
I don't run like that, I just run the udder painted black and it sounds pretty wicked. Everyone whos heard it seems to like it. And no I have no fuel issues or popping, I reckon its because all the back pressure is wadded up in there anyway.
I think the Quat and the Zard's are the best looking on the S2R, but that is strictly personnal opinion.

The Arrows look the best in my opinion. I was kicking myself in the arse for missing out on a great deal on CF Arrows >:(

It depends on how much money you want to spend. I like mine, but coughing up the cash was painful.

Nonsense. The covers don't hold the belts on, not in the least.

+1 I have read the thread where he described how he made them. They look uber-cool and the matching exhaust guards finish the deal nicely!!!!!!!
Ones that I have not seen yet have been the Sil Moto. If anyone has a set of the side by side( like the Zards) please post. I had a set on a 00' 750. with standard swingarm. I would like to see what they look like on an 08' S2R 1k

I had a set like that on my 800 before. I like these better, more cornering clearance...

then it's got nothing to do with the covers, does it? worn belts are bad either way. the only issue with no covers is getting some debris up in there, but it's never happened to me in 8 years of running this way, and i haven't heard of a case where it did.

I made them out of the stock covers. I made the sprocket cover and heat shields to match. Total cost was about $35 for everything.
tell us how you made them. Or provide a link. They are great looking, and I'd like to understand the process.
Can't post pic, but also have the cut off pipes. did not get rid of the bladder (was told I'd have to get a new ECU for that. )
pm me your email address, and I'll send via Google.

Again, not to threadjack or anything, but does that belly pan cover/protect your oil filter?
At the risk of being the lone voice in the wilderness, the stock cans still look better than most aftermarket ones to me. Stylewise they beat most of the opposition hands down.

Painted mine black though.
These Mivv ones are very pretty though.

Custom Boom-Tubes on the SS2R.
i went for Spark - black stainless, show off the single side swing arm much better than the stock double stack. sound is perfect. better than those common termi's [laugh] [laugh]

Sorry for the confusion - your belt covers. let me know how you did it. please ? pretty please??
The single sided swing arm is too beautiful to cover up - even with nice looking mufflers.
-1 for Ducati.
I liked the one I had done for my Monster adapted from the Motard race exhaust.

They are the stock covers. The bottom of the lower cover had chipped and I originally took them off to clean it up, but I just couldn't stop cutting. I cut them out with a dremel tool and filed the crap out of them. I followed DucPainter's instructions on the proper way to spray and spraypainted them black. I used TPO hyperscreen (ebay) for the mesh and attached with some super epoxy that came with the screen. I did the sprocket cover and the heat shields to match. I love the way they look, but I have currently taken them off and put on carbon covers. I ride year around in whatever weather and the shop advised me to put full covers back on to keep trash out. I have thought about selling them, but can't seem to pull the trigger.

LeoVince Ti system with DP Header!!!! [thumbsup] It is the sweetest sound and looks like a muscle of the bike. The Ti-system weighs next to nothing.

i LOVE the look and sound of the Arrows... Chill's exhaust is pretty nasty if you're going for that minimalist look, though.

more pics! How the hell do you turn with that thing?? I also noticed that you cut a part of your right side case. Was it a simple cut and throw away?

I'm not an aggressive rider. Currently exhaust is shorter then shown. It has been angle-cut to allow better turning. So turning is not a problem for me. I've also been keeping a close eye on the spark plugs. This winter i'll look into new map/ECU.
Cut:
Yes. Simple cut and polish. All one needs are big brassy ones. The chance to screw up is there and can be expensive.
--No shoe laces or bell bottom pants allow on this Monster --

Yes I made them. Hedman tips and regular reducers from my local parts store. I also added baffles to tone it down a little.

I have the QuatD. It's ok but one of the welds that connects the pipe to the bracket that bolts to the engine case already broke. I was going to send it back to Moto Wheels but I'm sure they would have wanted it back and then shipped out a replacement and I didn't want the bike down for that long during riding season. [bang]

The question wasn't "whats the loudest"........ it was the "baddest". ;)
I do love the look of your Boomtubes though. They are probably the best looking exhaust for the S2R series.
However........ OMG are they freakin' LOUD!!! [laugh]
I wish I had a chance to listen to your bike while you rode it rather than just reving it up sitting still. Hopefully next time. [thumbsup]
