Title: Moving Oberon Clutch Slave from one Monster to another- New copper washers? Post by: The ModFather on June 12, 2020, 07:51:05 AM I'm moving an Oberon Clutch Slave from one Ducati to another and am wondering if I need new copper washers or if I can reuse the ones installed. Anyone try this or know? If I do not sure if I can get just the washers from Oberon or if I need to find them elsewhere.

Post by: wasta on June 12, 2020, 08:35:55 AM You could re-anneal the washer, heat it with a blowtorch or similar until hot and let cool. I have reused copper washers without re-annealing and they have resealed without a problem.

I’ve heated and let cool also. Title: Re: Moving Oberon Clutch Slave from one Monster to another- New copper washers? Post by: Speeddog on June 12, 2020, 10:32:12 AM Copper is a bit of an odd material.
Heating 'til red hot and dropping into water will bring it back to full soft. Title: Re: Moving Oberon Clutch Slave from one Monster to another- New copper washers?
