Title: 2021 Silly Season
Post by: duccarlos on June 25, 2020, 09:07:26 AM
After all the rumors floating around about Pol moving to HRC, it seems to have been somewhat confirmed by KTM

I wonder how the Marquez brothers are taking the news

I'm wondering what Cal is thinking.

I believe he sees the writing on the wall. HRC will likely move AM down to LCR to appease MM. I believe it will be important to HRC to keep Nakagami. Could you imagine if Petronas hired  Crusty AND Rossi?! That would be a dream satellite team.

IMO

Cal and Dovi DGAF

Rossi's tasted the home life and that combined with the grinder season that's scheduled will convince him to stay home

I do not get the whole concept behind putting Pol in the factory seat right away, it looks like a Puig stratagem grenade

I think Puig is trying to teach the Marquez brothers a lesson, which will likely back fire

Maybe that will be to Ducati's advantage when Marc's contract is next up (2 years?). I'd love to see him ride the wheels off a Ducati. Puig waited for Marc to sign before  demoting his brother, shifty bugger.

Contracts aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

If Marc is pissed, what's to stop him from...retiring...like George, and then riding for someone else?

Puig is a douchebag.

Yep.

From the little I know, it'd only cost him money to leave early.
Of all the people on earth he may not be the least worried about money, but I wager he'd not lose sleep over it.
Either Marc is somehow on board with this whole plan or he's got his exit planned out.
Any team would tear the pocket pulling the wallet out to retain his services.
When Marc is saving the bike on his elbow it's for him and his team and championships and Puig isn't going to get in the way of that for long.

Yep, 100% douchebag.

Wasn't Cal going to retire after this season?

He had never declared.

Ducati would pay the release money for sure. Could be their best chance yet.

Just a bit of light turbulence to spice things up.

This season is going to be tough on those folks. Unless your're a Spaniard they'll be spending alot more time away from home with quarantine rules. Hope Crusty stays another contract.

Negotiations with Dovi must be in the gutter if Ducati is saying that they will make an offer to JLo. I assume Gigi would be thrilled.

Hopefully a factory/DORNA supported satellite Ducati.

Probably not a Duc, but Suzuki doesn’t have a satellite team...
