Title: 2002 Monster S4 Fuel Flange Post by: 2 Wheel Wanderer on January 09, 2022, 04:26:33 PM Anyone have an idea on how to remove the fuel flange on the top of the tank? I've removed the key lock and removed the 8 small hex screws that hold the piece on. I've tried pulling it up but its not budging.

Lay one side against the edge of the bung, and slap the head of the hammer with your palm. Make sure to put either your other hand, or a soft firm pad under the head of the hammer.
To reinstall, grease the o-ring and tap the bung into place. It's a little fiddly to get right, but doable. I was afraid I was going to break it if I did something like that.
