I've decided to try another moto discipline. I'm getting older, and my need for speed has waned, a little. Truth is the track bikes are getting difficult to load into the truck. This thing weighs <150 lbs. I looked at a GasGas 280 a year ago, but I couldn't start it. The bike I'll be getting will have electric start. It will be the TRS One R in 250 cc. trsmotosusa.com I'll probably keep my SBK even though she weighs almost 3 times what I do because I have pretty much unlimited access to the premiere road course in the northeast, if not the country... https://clubmotorsports.com/ The Monster, and SS, will likely go.
The deal with T is that if I break an arm, or leg, I have to sell it. No other broken bones count. ;D
Wish me luck.
That looks like a hoot and a half. I spectated at an amateur trials competition a few years back and it looked like a whole lot of fun.

Cool as a moose [thumbsup]
Sounds like a fair deal you have there too ;D

Bravo. Why not learn another dialect!

Aren't you old? Really old?

I really appreciate your concern. :-*

Update...the bike is in Chicago headed to the importer in Wisconsin. Should be to my dealer late next week, or early the week after.
I'm getting an upgrade due to availability...

Anyone want to buy an M900 with flatslides?

Yeah, kinda. But I think I'd get murdered if I let another bike on the property. :(
It would be better to sell the FCRs separately and put some Mikunis back on the 900. You'll sell the FCRs for a grand in a day.

You're so impatient... ;D
As of yesterday, FedEx freight had picked up the bike and it's on the way to the dealer. I should have it next week.
Picking it up tomorrow morning.

Forks look like serious equipment (as the whole bike is I'm sure).

Picked it up yesterday. ;D
It's much harder to go slow than it is to go fast. Just sayin'. ;)

It's at the forefront of my consideration regarding practice. I'm only working on the very basics. Static balance is proving difficult.

Absolutely! A mountain bike for practice will do wonders for your progress.

Seems a TRS is more similar to a Duc than I imagined.

Loud Clutches save lives
I bought a sacked out Suzuki trials bike back in the mid 80's after i watched
"On Any Sunday"
I quickly realized how horrible my sense of balance was. but i had fun. Hope you do as well

I have about 11ty billion new skills to learn. Balance, real throttle control, clutch control, weight transfer, steering with my feet...and the rest I probably don't even know about.
Did you know on a trials bike when the bike leans into the turn you put your weight on the outside, not the inside? It's completely counter intuitive to a track rider.
I'll never ride like any of the pro's, never mind Toni Bou. It'll be humbling, but it's going to be fun. [thumbsup]
[clap] All in.

Paid to play again today. We only rode for an hour, but we walked, trimmed trails, and threw brush for 6.
Only crashed once. [laugh]
Gotta see some video. [popcorn]
............or at LEAST some action pictures!

I'll work on that.
Getting ready to leave for my annual sojourn to Michigan.
I love the event, but hate the drive. Won't be cheap this year. [roll]
What sends you to Michigan? I grew up there, just being nosey.

S
Duck-Stew is correct. For the past 20 years I've been traveling to MI for a track event.
Busted my new bike. Crashed, and cracked the alternator cover. Pretty sure it happened on the 18" log. Parts on the way, then all will be good.
I had no clue how different this dirt thing would be. I'm a fairly competent asphalt rider, but this slow speed stuff is waaaaaayyyy different.
Getting more proficient every ride, practicing techniques in the yard. Good fun!
You broke the bike but not yourself. [beer]
Bike is fixed. Riding tomorrow.
Life is good. ;D

Nope. Different than a dislocation.
Google AC joint damage. Damned incovenient...I must say. It involves the ligaments that connect the clavicle to the scapula. :P
I have an appointment with an orthopaedist on Friday.
Pretty sure I'm looking at 6-8 weeks regardless of the course of treatment...depending on the severity. Sucks.
We want to know the important stuff. How is the bike?
