Title: Re: WSBK Phillip Island (spoilt) Post by: koko64 on February 25, 2023, 05:59:15 PM Weather should have cleared up. Scorching heat for weeks then Murphy's law. I've been frozen and roasted there. Conditions and grip levels change there very quickly.. AB showed his versatility.

Title: Re: WSBK Phillip Island (spoilt) Post by: kopfjäger on February 25, 2023, 09:37:29 PM Bautista, Rinaldi and Locatelli will have to start slowing down if they want any TV time. The #1 was shot out of a cannon.

Title: Re: WSBK Phillip Island (spoilt) Post by: ducpainter on February 27, 2023, 11:58:14 AM Good for Alvaro!
Johnny is in trouble, I think. Kawasaki didn't give him the improvements he needs. Toprak might be OK. Locatelli did OK, in third, but was still 9 seconds behind Bau-Bau. I don't know if Toprak can make up that much ground at tracks that favor his riding style. Title: Re: WSBK Phillip Island (spoilt) Post by: ducpainter on February 27, 2023, 01:10:38 PM Petrucci didn't do too badly. 8th, 10th and 9th in the three races, on a bike he has little time on, and was modified for guys Bautista's and Rinaldi's size. I think once his team figures out how to give him more room on the bike he'll be fighting for top 5.

"I said ‘oh, I have to wake up as soon as possible’. Finishing 11th… I was not happy, but it was a really nice weekend and I’m really happy to have joined this paddock."
