Following on from my preferred notional next Ducati Monster actually perhaps being a Honda V3R E-Compressor..... Could my next Multistrada be a Honda too??
Back in April I was keen to get aboard Ducati's new-for-2025 V2S. Great reviews, high hopes. Less weight, 15Kg less than my current 1260S. As I get older, less weight appeals. Even understanding it comes at the cost of less power - coz 1260cc down to 890cc is gonna do that. And the new V2S is a very nice... boring bike, with all of the traditional Ducati big V-twin nasties eradicated. No driveline snatchiness low down, just buttery smooth free revving..... banality. It's plastic clad looks & crappy low-rent switch gear don't help. But hey, no more pesky Desmo will at least bring down servicing costs, right? Suffice to say I handed the new V2S back to the dealership feeling disappointed. Good bike, not for me. Maybe I'd consider the last of the 937 Testastretta V2's as an update..... :-\
Or maybe, just maybe...... if Ducati is gonna build expensive Hondas.... I'll take a look at this when they begin to roll into my local Honda dealership....

A little less weight than my 1260S... a little less power & a little less torque. A lot less $$$. Promising specification. Probably also gonna be Honda-bland character-free ride, but couldn't be less interesting than Bologna's latest Dullsville offerings could it? I'll let you know after I ride one.
Here's some of what we know so far:
