I walked the dog, drank a lot of coffee, went to a monthly meet up with local oldsters like me.
Walked around NYC. Attended the Frick museum. Drank wine. Reassured myself that living in a cold climate isn't in my cards.
Woke up, made coffee, made breakfast, made lunch, had a stiff drink and nap, made dinner. Exciting :P
Today I got done with a 24 hour shift, and drove to my next 12 hour shift.
It's worth a trial run, at least.
Lather, rinse, repeat: go to airport, sit and wait for delayed flight. Sometimes with a beverage, sometimes without (if en route to work related destination)
Today it's waiting for a delayed flight home. [drink]
Yesterday...spent an hour and a half with the court ordered 'court navigator' fixing the paperwork I botched for Zip's guardianship accounting. She was very funny.
As an aside...if you ever think you want to be a guardian, talk to a lawyer and find out if you can let the state do the paperwork, and you can house, and love them. Doing 100's of hours of paperwork, court appearances, and the general bullshit the system puts you through make the beast with two backsing sucks.
It was much better just being his dad.
Listened to a harpist.
Drank some martinis.
Walked around the deck.
Relaxed.
I made a minimalistic paracord camera sling for Leica D Lux 7, AND made a video about making the sling. Last night.

Forget about fancy leather strap.
Another example of Sean Flynn's Leica M2 inspired project.
Simple. Functional. Costs nothing.
Shot on Leica SL2-S, with SIRUI Venus 75mmT2.9 with +2 diopter for close up shot.
As usual, all by myself.
Cleaned up snow...
picked Zip up from a basketball game...
and watched Ford V Ferrari.
Shoveled snow
walked the dog
Stared at the Tiger
Sharpened some knives
Searched for Comoros Islands on the map
Fell asleep reading on the couch (long shift last night)
No snow here ;D A visit to Ellen" Neurologist and PT and I straightened out a closet.
Slipped and fell (into a snowbank) on the way to the garage this morning.
Slid sideways from the on ramp across to the passing lane while getting on the highway.
Drove VERY cautiously down the interstate to work, passing 5 separate accidents.
Did NOT fall while climbing out of the engine for the first call, but only because I'm no dummy.
It's not even 10am.
Glad you are OK.

Do they make micro spikes that will fit over those gigantic boots you guys wear?

They do...but the straps have a tendency to melt if they get too hot.

I'd wear them until the ice melted from the heat. ;)
Not today, but a few days ago.
I switched. Gave up the vodka for bourbon.
Was time for a change.
I'm trying to quit for a while. 2 days in!
Nah...I gave up smoking.
That's enough.
