Title: iPhone Dyno tools ??
Post by: mattv on July 29, 2008, 01:44:17 PM
Hey check this out:

http://dynolicious.com/index.html

I think I'm gonna play with it and see how it does.  I'm very skeptical but it's a cool idea.

12 reviews on itunes with a 4/5

Mostly 4s and 5s with one 3/5 and one 1/5 score.

$12.99 price tag on it.

Yeah those reviews are probably from the developer's friends and family.  [cheeky]

At the very least it's a cool toy, assuming it works.

I saw that too in the App store, and only barely missed hitting the "buy" button.

Let us know how it works (or doesn't).

So I've got it on my ipod here at the office and was able to get up to 82 mph walking down the hall.   [laugh]
And tilting the ipod back and forth registers it as accelerating/braking, so I don't think it would work well on a bike doing wheelies and stoppies, or leaning.

Of course it wasn't able to make it through the calibration process so maybe that's why my numbers are off.   [roll]

I read all the reviews online and its a mix bag. It either works or not. It sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones that can't get pass the calibration so its pretty much useless =(

I've heard that it won't pass calibration if you have too much iPorn on your iPhone... might want to look into that...   ;D :P
