It is available in black or silver. It tightens the wrap and allows water and oil to bead off. On our project bikes, the painted section lasted longer and looked better. The bigger 2" tape I think would be great on a longer set of pipes, say on a cruiser, but the 1" stuff is great for the tighter bends on Monsters and sport bikes and such.
+1 on wetting it first. My buddy did his Sportster first just dry and didn't work nearly as well as after he did it wet the second time. |
