After much soul searching and penny counting I finally took the plunge today on a new ride. I signed the paperwork today on a 2007 Multistrada that I will pick up sometime next week. By next Saturday I hope to be riding on the street again. [moto]
Congrats, let the modding begin. What color is it? We wants Pics, meet me in Ohio thi weekedn and I'll take some. - Gene
It is the standard Multistrada in red. I think the only mods I will do is ECU, exhaust, and bags.
Multis are fun. Much more than you'd think at 1st look. You say that's all you're going to mod now... but spend some time talking to LoudBike... you might see things differently [evil]

I agree. While they are fun to ride, you'll end up modding more to make it less ugly. [puke]
I still think you shoulda bought Stick's '04 ST3 that is at Winchester...but I digress....big time congrats!!!
Yeah Zoom that ST3 is a great bike and a good deal, but in terms of what bike I really wanted the Multi was at the top of my list, followed by the GT1000, and the ST was a distant third. I loved my Monster but I needed something with more comfort, must be getting old. Jason had started to do the paperwork on the GT1000 when the CFO(my wife) said that if I wanted the Multi I could get it. ;D
Contgrats! And hurray for CFO's that care!
Congrats! [moto]

Congrats! Glad you're smarter and more responsible than I am. ;D
Welcome to Multistrada ownership! I went from Monster to Multi as well. The Multi will take any road the Monster can at the same or faster pace and it is a better sport-tourer. That's why I got mine; more versatility with no functional loss for any task. Sure, from certain angles it isn't as pretty as a classic Monster, but from the saddle (the most important angle) it's drop dead gorgeous!
Like others have said, it can be modded as much or more than a Monster so if you ever want to get back to the naked bike style, you have that option. Loudbikes dearly departed ride was a great example.
Check out multistrada.net. It's not quite as social as this board, but it is the equal for technical help and information from friendly folks.
Congrats bro....
I dig those CFO's that are working with us ! [beer]
Saw your bike today. It's sweet. If it feels as good as the demo day one you will love it.
We can swap when you feel the need for a monster fix. Maybe you can wear down the left side of my tires for me. Or, get me to left turns. C U Saturday.
