What are you talking about? That's a GREAT deal! [laugh]
I think that I'll just sit back and enjoy the show... [popcorn]
If it wasn't all twisted up it would have been a pretty nice bike. All the bidders are eBay newbs; maybe they didn't read carefully enough :-\
KEH has to be spot on. Who in their right mind would read the description and bid on this?
"...was hit at a stop light..."
"...SEEMS to track straight."
"The clutch and Brake lever are TWEEKED."
"...SEEMS to run great."
"Sub-frame LOOKS straight..."
Best of all:
"...I may have missed some damage." yikes. :o Buyer beware I guess.
From the pictures, even the frame don't look right. Poor Monster :-[

That's so funny, i was looking at that just ealier today and had a bunch of my coworkers around wondering the same frickin thing?!?! Hilarious...
Sad though, I'm on the hunt (serious!) for a S2R 800 Dark too... [moto]
The rear of the frame does not look straight to me!
Tail light is obviously broken.
i've looked at his auctions several times. he's got paso parts up for sale too, and he's asking about 10-20x the common value in some cases. he has a crank for sale i'd like but he's got it for twice the value, not to mention he "didn't remove the main bearings" on one side -- yeah, they look really fried. so i have no idea the condition of the journal under the bearing.
If you guys had some of that you'd be bidding 10 grand on a 749 that had been hit in the rear or something.
If it's even close to running I can't buy it........
I only buy non running bikes and then never fix 'em :-X

+1 I'd be concerned about that swing arm too. Do these people realize they can get a cherry S2R800 for the same money? My brother picked one up salvage in better shape than that for about $2,200 and that price included shipping across the country. ???
If I were to think about buying that not repaired salvage bike for the price of a functional clean title bike, which I wouldn't, I would suspect everything was bent until measured. The exhauut and attaching parts are so out of wack optical illusion is taking place. The tire even looks bent
Where do I sign? [roll]
Maybe it comes with a pot of gold?
This bike looks like it would you'd be sitting 20 degrees of center permanently - so you'd kind be drifting right all of the time. [thumbsup]
//must remember this bike for when they new owner comes aboard looking for info about fixing it up//
gonna need to remember to feel sorry for the guy :-X
What a load of junk. Feel sorry if someone ended up with that. Mid you, there is an ass for every seat.
Yowza. I paid about $500 less for my 2006 S2R with only 2300 miles... Thats a year newer, still had 4 months of warranty, and about 1/4 the mileage... for less...
I think the ticket on this auction, and maybe something some of us missed at first, is his offer for "worldwide" shipping.
Maybe this bike went to someone who can't normally get a monster? Tommygarcia is the winning bidders name.. Maybe Mexico? South America somewhere?

our just some pot ;D
Tommy Garcia was the victorious bidder at $7,600. [clap]
with 0 feedback, wonder if he will take delivery?
I'm guessing not..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___2005-DUCATI-S2R-800-MONSTER-DARK_W0QQitemZ200245376294QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200245376294&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245.l1318
relisted after his buddy didn't buy it.
Yeah, look at the third to last picture he has. That frame is tweaked...
