Title: when all else fails.go back to step one. Post by: pigmy on August 03, 2008, 03:05:50 AM ok,so i get back from overseas.try to start bike flat battery.no probs.buy a new one and hay presto no start.
so i charge battery and no start.ok check all connections, wires and anything with electrons.off comes starter on goes another relay and presto no start.so off comes starter again off comes battery and down to local electrician to physically load test parts and nil defects found.so on go parts again.still no start.weeks go by friends give help/advice (thanks mmick, ducmon rob).then i decide to get serious so i jump start the bike off the car and we have start.hmmm theres a hint here.back to the local shop receipt in hand.off to another local shop and another( better) battery later.houston we have ignition......moral of the story.dynomaster batteries are sh1t. Post by: dragonworld. on August 03, 2008, 05:34:39 PM When I was initially looking for a Monster to purchase I looked at a 900 that a guy had tricked up a bit and he was running a battery out of a Skidoo/snow mobile. It had a shitload of cranking power and he'd never had a problem with charging. (He said??) Dunno what brand it was though. Being designed to supply current and amps in very cold weather you would think it would be operating easily at "normal" temps. Hmmmmmmmmm.???? ;)

Being designed to supply current and amps in very cold weather you would think it would be operating easily at "normal" temps. Hmmmmmmmmm.???? ;) Yep it would work well at normal temps but also would probably be better built internally as well to stand up to the physical pounding it would get. Boat batteries are the same. It's worth purchasing a cheapo multimeter for those "dead battery" times, you can see if the batteries dead or your charging system is working ok. Saves $$$ in the long run. If anybody needs assistance or has questions,in this, I can help, (I'm an electrical\electronics dude) Title: Re: when all else fails.go back to step one.
