Title: what wheels fit?
Post by: RavnMonster on August 04, 2008, 04:27:01 AM
So I have an 05 S4R and it has those really nice looking white wheels. THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP CLEAN!!

so I'd like to look into swapping to a set of black wheels. I like the 10 spoke wheels on the newer models. But what will fit my bike?

Will pretty much any wheel from a Ducati fit? or do different models have different size wheels? Like will a wheel from a 1098 or a hypermotard fit a monster?

thanks

If I recall correctly, the rears are pretty much a swap for anything from the 996 SBK, but the front has to be the 25mm hollow axle wheels, not the older solid axle wheels. 999/749 use a different offset for the front rotors AND a different center opening AND a 5 bolt hole pattern instead of a 6 front and rear. No idea about the 1098 series, but I do know they use a radial caliper, so I have a feeling the rotors would be different there too.

I have an 04 S4R and I swapped to the 10 spoke marchesinis No problem everything bolted right up for the front and the rear went on like a breeze.

Bought them from motowheels shipped direct with new donuts installed and balanced.

Great guys great price
