Great ride report!  I enjoyed reading it.  One of these days I've got to take a multi-day ride  [moto]

Thanks.

You should . . . it's very rewarding.

I'm thinking of doing a 1000 mile day next year.  4 day trip 1st day 1K miles, Next 3 300ish coming back . . .  [moto]

Living in vacation-land and moto-touring-ville, I have seen more BMW GS's and other BMW models almost as much as Harley's this summer.

A lot of Canadians too.

That said, I wouldn't mind adding a Multi to the stable.

I looked at the multis and the harley looking sport gt classicy thingy with saddle bags.... both felt really comfortable ... and could handle long rides... now if I could only find a cheap or free one with low or no miles.  [bang]   Problem is that I like my 848 too much to sell... and I want want want.... oh well. Don't know how long of a ride I can do on that super sport....
