Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing!
I was obsessed with volcanoes when I was a kid, and the fascination never really faded :)
Fantastic pictures.
My father was geologist in Hawaii and I had the opportunity to go on some of the field trips that he would take his students on (he was a Professor at the University of Hawaii). We had an excellent time hiking around lava fields, and on one occasion we were able to take lava samples from a lava flow. I can't even begin to explain the intensity of the heat coming off a slow and (fairly) cooled off lava flow, it was still fluid (pahoehoe lava) but wasn't anywhere as hot as fast flowing molten lava. Lava is cool.
neat! got any more of the water spout?
cool, we were there just 3 weeks ago, same spot.
I wanna move there.
[clap] [bacon] Nice pics. Wish I could go there sometime. What kind of camera and lens were used if you know.
Thanks for posting them up. [bacon]
