Title: Deal or No Deal?
Post by: ArabicaMan on August 06, 2008, 08:41:51 AM
My local dealer is offering me a brand-new 2007 S4Rs with full Termi exhaust system for $15,890.  That breaks down to $13,250 for the Monster and $2,640 for the exhaust (installed).  So, Deal or No Deal?  Cheers.

just to clarify, brand new = no miles? Also, full termi system = airbox and ecu mod as well?

There was an RS for sale here not long ago that while used, had Termi kit, BST wheels, and all sorts of other carbon goodies for 15.  It was a 22-25K bike to replace.

I say no deal.

But if you want a new bike, then low 13s is very nice.  That's high for the Termi kit, but I guess it depends if you mind how the breakup is done between bike and exhaust.

Any other costs in there?  They swallowing setup and freight?

Yes, the bike has zero miles and has never been titled or ridden.  The Termi kit is the full deal, with the airbox and ECU mod.

if that's TTL, out the door, not a penny more then it's an alright deal.  great bike so you'll be happy but patience for a slightly used bike will net much greater results.  my $.016

Thats why I shop in the good old US of A. It cost me 1100 to ship my bike from Pennsytvania to Edmonton Alberta.

13,250 isnt bad. U may be able to get the pot sweetened a little,, but not that much.

Sounds high even with 0 miles.  HEck, summer is already 2/3 over and who know what they will do to the top-of-line monster next year.

[bang] I could have gotten a 4V for what I paid on my 800.

I know a couple of people in Itally who will drop crumbs my way.
There IS an 1100 monster on the way for next year.
What the pricing would be I don't know.
