That does remind me that I still have a leak on the front of my bike. :-\ It's cool that Nick and Stu found that leak coming out of my cam shaft but I think the original leak is still there and is coming from behind the starter motor. I guess I didn't do such a great job putting that sucker on when I replaced it myself... why? after reading some threads on teh general forum for 600 miles services, simple reason. the price he quotes you is the price you are charged. no hidden fees, no price gouging, and no mysterious "extra charges" when you pick up the bike. if your bike needs any extra work over the original quote, the good thing is that Nick calls you before he does that work for your approval. good work as usual when installing my new adjustable and tuned forks on the bike. That's State law as well as good business practice. Title: Re: Valley Ducati Service Post by: sbrguy on August 26, 2008, 02:28:36 PM That's State law as well as good business practice. exactly, but with so many threads of people saying this or that was not done about other service providers for maintenance, its funny that when someone does something by the law that is actually "not normal" in a lot of ways... Title: Re: Valley Ducati Service Post by: uclabiker06 on August 26, 2008, 05:23:21 PM He is making a custom license bracket for me. Cant wait to see how it came out. He comes across as very trustworthy upon first impression.

I personally never have any issues with service. I took it upon myself to find a couple good mechanics ( dirt and street) and I use them exclusively. I also don't pregnant dog over a couple bucks here and there. Once you find them, be loyal and flexible and they will be loyal and flexible. Also if you use someone more then one time that doesn't follow the law it's your own fault if you get burned. What I have found is all the good/prefessional/desirable mechanics follow the regulations. It's not that hard, uhh, call the client if more work is needed beyond the original estimate. Why wouldn't you want to do that? Title: Re: Valley Ducati Service Post by: uclabiker06 on August 27, 2008, 05:05:44 PM Quote Why wouldn't you want to do that? Some people are just like that and Nick isn't one of them. I think thats all he was trying to convey. |
