I think I should have invested in a canoe instead of a motorcycle...
I WANT TO RIDE!
*stomps feet in child-like tantrum fashion*
I am *this close* to pulling out the credit card and buying some wet weather gear.
But if you all want someone to blame, go ahead and blame me. Get my damn endorsement on the 20th, and we've had a grand total of like 3 sunny days since. [bang]
Is anyone else in a crazed suicidal state because of all this gray weather?
Bah.
Rain gear or not, just go ride! You'll get wet anyway.
Just go extra carefully and ride extra smooth!
i am *this close* to moving to San Diego ;D

Guess what? It's raining.............again................oh wait, it never stopped! [bang]
I think I'm going to design an ark. :'(
If it rains next Thursday for the Fishtail track day I will have a break down!
Dont know what the big deal is its just a little rain I riding back and forth to work everyday still. I know its not ideal but nothing is ever ideal grab a rain jacket and some rain pants and go ride. Or you can do the expensive thing and move to san diego .
-Panthro
twisty back roads are not as fun in the rain. neither is commuting, but if you gotta get to work, you do it anyway
The big deal is, I've had my moto license since the 20th of July. I've practiced in industrial parks only a handful of times. I have yet to venture out into traffic. My boy does not ride in the wet... at all. I would rather not have my maiden voyage on the street be a solo endeavor. Therefore, I have to wait until the boy is good and ready to take his bike back out. Also, the boy is my mechanic and frowns on rusty/nasty bearings and things of the sort caused by all of this delightful weather. I say lube 'er up and ride. He says nay. The entire second day of my MSF class, skills evaluation included, took place in the rain. I wasn't bothered a bit, minus a little bit of swamp ass.
Bah!
>:(
it's sunny here in CT 8) ;D

and here i thought that multi-riders where all about getting out on the road, damn the weather....... [roll]
I don't mind rain.... but.....
The storms we have been getting are so treacherous. Visibilty down to a few feet with major flooding of the roads within minutes. Not to mention the scary lightning. Just to dangerous for a bike. I have not seen such a wet summer in years.

So, it's been the wettest, and the hottest summer in years. Basically ever since I got here, you've had extremes. I'm
REALLY not looking forward to my first winter here...

;D Winters can go either way. Mild or wild. Either way... you won't be riding. Unless your name begins with a Q. Crazy French guy!
So, you don't think it's a good idea to put nobbies on the S2R1K?
It's... annoying. Yeah, that's it. I think I'm starting to grow mushrooms, I've been damp so long.
Hi from California!
We don't even check the weather report when we schedule out group rides :P

Oooh, I'll be there on Thursday, too! What're your bike/leathers and I'll say hola. (I'm in black leathers and on a 749 with black track bodywork.)
Dirty little secret: as long as there's no standing water, I don't mind rain at trackdays - it keeps me honest by forcing me to (try to) be smoooooth! I'll take rain over a 95 degree-and-sunny trackday any time! But I run street tires, so I'm sympathetic to those on slicks.

Red older monster.
Track suit is red, white and black. See ya then.
Yes a hunid 95 degree day would be worse than a little rain.
Can anyone guess what today's forcast calls for?
and tomorrow too....

Pain, what pain?! Mind over matter . . . at least until I sneeze. ;) I know you know what it's like.
This morning I heard a report of 82 degrees and cloudy for Thursday - sounds pretty good to me!!

I hate the track in the rain....
other than feeling like I'm going to explode...
I'll take a hot sunny day anytime.
