Cold Guinness from a frosted "Ducati Meccanica" mug.....
That is all
As long as you're having it in Ireland. The stuff Guinness exports out of the country isn't the best example of what it's supposed to taste like. [drink]
I'll disagree there. Having recently visited Dublin and the holy (Saint James) gates I was not overwhelmed by a great degree of difference. I've had Guiness in Ireland, the States, Mexico, Italy, Japan and Argentina. It's better as draught than from a can but no matter where you go it's quality is consistently nectar of the gods, top shelf brew. You may get a bad draw or a bad tap but by and large it's purity is well maintained.
Taking it from a Meccanica mug does add an extra "h" or two in "ahhhhhhhh" I'm sure.
I found it tasted much better in Ireland too. [beer] [drink]
The only place as good as Ireland is this pub in a hotel I can't remember in Hong Kong.
Little Irish pub has casks flown in weekly from Ireland. Hand pulled. Ahh nectar of the gods.
I heard the stuff that gets exported to Europe has enough preservatives in it to give it a 6 month shelf life. The stuff that makes it to NA has enough for a year. Of course this is my dad saying this. He's from England so there is a good chance he is lying.
I don't care. The shit we get in North America is good enough for me. [drink]
:D BEER SNOB THREAD!!!!! :D
