Title: Max Payne Movie
Post by: lawbreaker on August 10, 2008, 08:01:06 AM
While i'm no Uber-Gamer, Hitman was a great game and a great movie-both very entertaining.

I just saw the trailer for "Max Payne" starring Mark Wahlberg aka "Markie-Mark" . Looks pretty damn good to me and I cant wait to see it .

i'll need too look up that trailer.

both max payne games were great, and had a very "cinematic" feel. hopefully they don't make the beast with two backs it up...

historically movies from video game franchises tend to royally blow goats.  I loved the Max Payne games, but I'll be surprised if the movie comes anywhere close to the comic-noir style they captured.

Both max payne games were very well made and dark.  I hope they do right.

Just hope it's more like Resident Evil and Hitman and less like Alone in the Dark and Street Fighter...

"Lady luck was a hooker, and I was fresh out of cash"....  [laugh]  love the cheesy noir scripting in that game.

still skeptical about the movie though... The games eschewed traditional cutscenes in favor of graphic novel-style panels which worked far better.
