My girl and I will be riding 2up to the Desmo BBQ this Sunday if anyone is interested in joining a leisurely (60-70mph) ride up slabwise and 2up safe ride on smaller roads. Other 2ups more than welcome to join.
And I may be just missing it but there doesn't seem to be a time listed for the whole shebang to begin. As all good BBQ's start around eleven or noonish I'm going to assume that to be true for this one as well. We will be leaving from Spanish Harlem around 9:30 am to get up there shortly after 11am. If anyone interested feels a different meetup location would be better I'm up for suggestions, though I am just a few minutes from either the GWB or the 87 depending on which route we decide to take.
Post or PM me with interest in joining and look forward to seeing everyone there!
Chad
I believe the start and end time will be posted on the DESMO site http://www.desmoducati.org/ this week. Ben from DESMO informed me that they were finalizing the details and should have it posted so check it daily.
The NYMMC folks that will attend, I'll just see you guys there.
the bbq will start at noon. do you guys plan on entering your bikes into the show?

I'm debating on the bike show...not sure I want to take the time to clean the bike.

From the DESMO website:
Additionally, the Stronzo, Pigpen, and the Bling Awards will be making their return with some new friends as well.
Not entering mine in the show, but will get 'er as squeaky clean as possible to at least look like I am competing. ;D

hmmm.... white wheels are purdy on a cool bike. nice.
try some ProtectAll on it and on the entire bike, for that matter. I use the spray caniters one on my white wheels and during the next cleaning, the dirt wipes right off. [thumbsup] I've been using it for 7 years now.

Chachadder, can we see pics of your wheels now? lol Wax it before its too late. It makes cleaning SO much easier
there's usually a whole hodge-podge of different bikes, from daily riders to ratbikes to show bikes. best naked bike, which includes the monster, is chosen by the bbq attendees and the judge's choice awards (like the pigpen) by a small committee of judges.
entering the bike show means getting better parking, too. :)
in interest of full disclosure, i'm one of the organizers of the bike show but will be unable to attend this year. :(
if i remember correctly from 2 years ago, there was a "largest chickenstrip" award as well. I hear there will be some fascinating bikes showing up.
