So I currently work as a Jr. Staff Accountant for a property management firm. I love my job and everything is great except we were bought out last year and they are closing my office by October. I am starting to get anxious because I haven't had many leads yet. Does anyone know of a good place to look for jobs in accounting and finance. I don't have a degree but I am currently working towards 2 bachelors one in accounting and one in financial management.
Any help would be appreciated.
Your location?

Your location?
Columbus, OH, per his public profile.
Look into healthcare. You'd have to learn a bit of more detailed info specifically focussed around gov't policies and third party billing practices, but the field is growing and you have a good skill set. Look at a local hospital to start with.
Good luck.
Have you looked at the Ohio Dept of Revenue?

-----snip----
No, see they take Ohioian revenue and give it to the Ohio government. ;) The state needs no actual revenue of it's own.

Yeah, I am in Columbus, Ohio.
As I am in the financial profession, the company that I work for is not.
At this time, I don't think we are hiring.
However, I could get you a contact at Spherion for temp employment.
As people said, PM me.

Are you talking about billing in a doctor's office or working for a healthcare company (read: Cardinal, Owens & Minor, my employer, etc)
Cardinal is huge here in Columbus, as it is their headquarters.
However, working for them sucks unless you like being a number that gets treated like shit.
So are you not really wanting any help?
I have seen you posting, but not in this thread or have you PMed me.
As I stated, I could help you out dude.
PM sent thanks for the help dude. [beer]
So I just got out of a meeting with my boss and the company controller. Looks like they aren't going to be moving the office until at least March. Even better news is that since some people have left they need me to do extra work. This means a raise, more learning and hands on experience for my resumee, and a pretty hefty retention bonus on top of my severence package. Looks like I am staying here for a while. Should be able to pay off my bike and by half a new car by the time I'm done here which has been a short term goal for me. Best part is I will almost be done with school by March and will be able to look into positions which pay much more by then. Couldn't tell anyone at work so I had to share with someone.
Thanks for all the help. Jay
