very nice! i've worked on a few beemers and the germans have a very different way of putting cars together, once you figure out how to take it apart you think "hmmm, thats a pretty good idea..." nice cars, very well engineered.
And here I am thinking about trading my GTI for a middle aged compact pick up truck :P Anyhoo, CONGRATS!!
New car is sweet.... but that pic of the V-bub is art.... and I'm not even a fan of them on any great level. It's just composed well. [thumbsup]
Nice ride, both of them actually. What are the specs on the GTi? I have a 2000 model with the VR6 in it that I have actually been thinking about trading in. Problem is that it is no where near stock anymore and has about 107k miles on it.
I also had a nice BMW that I brought with me to the states when I moved back from Germany. Really loved that car but sadly had to get rid of it due to the dealership down here being complete asshats. I refused to have anything that would tie me to them at all, so got rid of it for an S2000.

Actually, there is method to my madness. Trade both the Passat and the GTI and put the wife in a new car. Jetta deisel wagon maybe. A used truck and a second bike for me since we don't need two good cars.

Those things are sweet!! The TDi's are amazing motors!! Thank god we have finally gotten clean(ish) deisel over here.
