Well, Haley was playing around today, fell and hit her face on her toybox. She ended up putting her bottom teeth through her bottom lip. She took it real well. We took her to the E.R. and they ended up putting DermaBond (superglue designed for use on skin) on it. As god as that stuff is, I just don't think it's really appropriate for a 2.5 y/o. It lasted about 15 mins after we got home. As you can see in the pic, half of it is already gone....

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said she took it real well. Great kid there! [thumbsup] You could ask the emergency room for more of the dermabond stuff. They might give it to ya. Otherwise you could look for some of the little sticky stitches but I dunno how long those would last either. Most things short of actual stitches won't last too long considering how close it is to her lip.

Yeah, the wife is gonna take her to see the PCM tomorrow and hopefully get some steri-strips...

I think I posted about this yesterday, but she's a freaking daredevil.
We were watching gymnastics during the Olympics. She thinks she can do anything she sees on tv.
So, she gets a running start, does a front flip (no hands!) but unfortunately landed on her back. She was fine, but she thought she stuck the landing....

my little sister (11 years younger) did the same thing when she wrecked on her big wheel.
she had a nice double mouth going for a bit.
healed up fine though. no scars showing, and her teeth where ok too

i did the exact same thing at her age, except i fell off the bed. bottom teeth right through the lip, just like her - in the same spot. I got stitches and couldn't drink unless I used a straw. I guess it must have been traumatic...I have a scar and still drink with a straw.
I wish her a speedy recovery!
and btw, she is adorable!
Poor thing, I was always walking around with a bloody lip as a little nipper. It won't scar, she'll be ok.

Zipties would put larger holes in her lip than there already are. I like zipties, they just aren't ideal for this application...
