Those are all good vids.  Funny and I can also see them as art.

Yeah, the banana one was a bit opaque, but i kinda liked some of the others -- "Tundra" is a cool image and really well executed as is "Emerge," which had me trying to figure out how he did the trick; was the gas in the balloons slightly heavier than the surrounding air when cool, then took flight as it warmed?

"Duel" and "Arrow Trick" just looked like fun, though the tall guy's a much better shot. Gotta try those sometime...

They work as art for me, but just in case:

Why isn't it?

Some of that stuff was pretty cool.  And artsy.  Some of left me feeling creepy.

I believe that not everything is art.  But I couldn't tell you what that dividing line is.  If you were to put a couple of those on Youtube, it would just be a couple of guys shooting at balloons or shooting arrows at each other.

Just like if I string a couple of notes together, it would by definition be music no matter how crappy it was. But a lot of people would argue that by the words in the definition it's music, but in spirit it's not.

Some of this stuff has the sprit of art.  Some of it I think I think is questionable.  Specifically the bananas and the shooting the can on his head.

But if he wants to call it art so be it.  It doesn't impact my life.

Art is whatever enstills an emotion in you.

I personally am quite hungry and him wasting bananas is not cool.

My whole point is the path of putting labels on things (art or not art) is that it is step away from censorship. Personally I was amused by it....it didn't inspire a sense of awe like works from others have.

I can go along with that.  Although I don't necessary think that labeling is only one step away from censorship.  But that's probably not exactly what you meant.  I get the gist of the argument.

I don't think art can be defined in concrete terms where item A is art and item B is not.

For me Art is something that provokes something within the heart.  Like He Man said, an emotion within.  But not everything that evokes emotion is art.

Entertainment on the other hand takes me out of that self realization and puts me in watch mode.  That's why the balloons work for me.  The dudes shooting arrows at each other and shoot at the balloons, are more entertainment.  I lose the sense of art when I move to that watch mode.

my $.02  for what it's worth

I was referring to the banana video.  The others may be better but after watching him blow up the bananas I didn't give the others a chance.

So if I kicked that guy in the nuts and it pissed him off, that would be art?
