I actually went to a mens baby shower a few months ago . . . i had never heard of one before . . . and it didn't involve strippers even though the guys wife told us to make sure we took him to get some lap dances . . .you bunch of liberal, tree hugging, Birkenstock wearing, patchouli soup using, crunchy granola, OR freaks  . . .

Except... I'm not a Republican.  ;)  Technically, I'm registered as "no party affiliation" (as I was for the two years I lived in Iowa, as well).  I'm one of those unusual right-leaning independents who embraces conservatism, but refuses to "tow the party line".

speaking of bloody crocs, i used to wear them in the OR. The worked out well until a scalpel fell and cut through one of my crocs and almost cut me. Straight off the OR table too so it was ... used.  :-X

When I am bored at work... arguing makes the day go by faster... angry little leprechauns make the day more pleasant, IMO.  ;D

While I'm sure my mother would appreciate this (she's working on her degree in Nursing), this is a bit of information that I (as a guy) never had any desire to know.

I prefer to think of it as "non-angry" or laid-back conservatism.  [thumbsup]  Besides, there are some really stupid things the party-line Repubs have done (granted, I think there are a lot more really stupid things the Dems have done, but that's a discussion for somewhere other than this board).  Won't get into the details of which policies I do or don't agree with, we'll just say I prefer to think for myself.  As Gen. Patton used to say: "If everybody is thinking alike, somebody isn't thinking."
