Title: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: LYD on August 22, 2008, 06:46:49 AM Well lets discuss a ski/sled trip:
I can start looking for a decent place and when is the best time of year to go. Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: DesmonsterS4RS on August 22, 2008, 08:01:46 AM Skiing is too hard let's just rent some snowmobiles [bacon]

Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: Bonwilder on August 22, 2008, 09:21:51 AM Skiing is too hard let's just rent some snowmobiles [bacon] snowmobiles sound really fun, but skiing is fun whether you are good at it or not.....also fun to watch everyone else try to ski! [laugh]Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: hiero on August 22, 2008, 10:19:05 AM I'm always down for some snowboarding
Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: Ronr on August 22, 2008, 10:49:28 AM I've been wanting to go skiing again for years but everybody is too "old" or afraid of the cold. I would vote for Taos since it's a great town, awesome skiing, and the closest quality place for road tripping. But actually, anywhere is fine as long as we go!
Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: LYD on August 22, 2008, 11:07:41 AM I am not talking about taos I'm talking about here!! There are several ski resorts within a couple of hours of me! there is even1 that is 45 minutes away!
Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: BarneePhife on August 22, 2008, 01:56:44 PM I am not talking about taos I'm talking about here!! There are several ski resorts within a couple of hours of me! there is even1 that is 45 minutes away! No offense LYD, but it's twice as far to OH as it is to Taos for the LSD folks, and I bet the skiing in Hill Country is better than in Ohio. I'm seriously interested in a ski trip this season (to someplace like NM or CO). If there are others interested, discuss. Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: DesmonsterS4RS on August 22, 2008, 04:21:44 PM I will be up north again in December for a week or so but other than that I won't be goin up there :'(

[laugh] Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: Duc L'Smart on August 29, 2008, 12:20:57 PM We sure could use some cooler weather... Can you send some down?
Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: redxblack on August 30, 2008, 08:33:44 PM NE Ohio really has limited winter fun. There are two big snow hills with ski lifts (Alpine Valley in Geauga Co and Boston Mills in Summit Co). Upstate NY is only a few hours away.
Sled riding is pretty awesome. Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: LYD on September 03, 2008, 07:55:31 AM We sure could use some cooler weather... Can you send some down? Would be more than happy to! Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: Duc L'Smart on September 09, 2008, 06:04:47 AM It's actually cooled off a bit here, with lots of rain. I'm guessing it's fallout from 3 hurricanes in a row...

Ya think? I actually got caught in that rain yesterday. It was my first time riding in the rain, but I don't think I got out of first gear on 35W from 121 to my exit in Burleson. I guess that was ok because if I laid it down in the rain at 5 - 10 mph it wouldn't do anything but hurt my feelings and piss me off. Better than wrecking in the rain at higher speeds, I guess. Glad to have better gear though! Thanks to you guys for getting on my case for that! Anyway, I am driving the rest of the week.....I'm not all about riding in the rain! When do you get your comfort seat? the b*tch bike is the monster.... hopefully soon, on the ps - I rode on Sun and slid all over the seat again. Guess I didn't realize what a big dif that comfort seat makes. Title: Re: LSD SKI/SLED TRIP Post by: Duc L'Smart on September 09, 2008, 06:30:38 AM the b*tch bike is the monster.... Ooops.
