So the Simmons 22 Mag scope I bought last year is shit. It adjusts horizontally, but not vertically. Whatya want for $20 right? So I need a new scope before squirrel season. Suggestions? And it's just on a 10/22 stainless long barrel, so I dont wanna spend $100!
Try this one.

Sportsmansguide of all places has good scopes -- their in-house brand, I forgot the name. I picked up a 10-50x scope from them and it's done well for several years now. I am sure a smaller one for 22 would be cheap.
If you want to spend a bit more, Mueller makes some nice optics for reasonable cost. They get good reviews from the hardcore community. I'm getting one for my .22

I have a Nikon.
I am sure they make one to fit your gun.

they make nikon scopes for under $100??
I am sure you can get something for under $100.
Maybe a mount kit or some lens cloth ;D
Missed that part when originally read the post.
was on the phone and reading this.
BSA makes a pretty good scope for the money, especially if a "sweet" series is made for 22lr. they have adjustments that compensate for bullet drop at distance, so it cuts guessing down. my friend has one for 17hmr, set it up at 150 and it was dead on.
While I don't think I really need that kind of distance, the BSA does seem like a good scope. http://www.natchezss.com/Optics.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=OS2239X40IR&prodTitle=3%2D9X40%20ILL%20RETCLE%2FFOR%20%2E22CALRFLE
well within my price range too.
If you are looking for a scope under $100 bucks, your options are limited. The only ones I know at that price are Tasco, Simmons, or Bushnell. Leupold makes a rimfire grade scope for $200. I recomend getting the Leupold. Spend $200 once instead of buying one of the cheapies for $75 which you'll have to replace every couple of years.

also see www.rimfirecentral.com, theres a ton of info on there..
I think Natchez's descriptions are off, but the model number indicates it's a 22, 3x9x40
Ordered it. If it's wrong I'll send it back but I'm sure it's right after looking at their other descriptions.
I wouldn't mind spending more on a scope, but I just bought a laptop and I'll be buying a house in the next couple months, so things are on the conservative side.
I'll just have to make sure to check the scope out right when I get it. I've got a bore sighter now so that should help.
