Post by: Munch on August 24, 2008, 06:31:41 PM
Walked out my front door and saw this:

And down the street when I hopped in the car with the dog - to chase of course!  [evil]

Kinda cool, turned out to be near this intersection:

Fortunately nobody was injured when this or the second tornado touched down just South of Denver.

What's up with Colorado and twisters this year  ???

Cool pictures though.  I love that kind of thing.  Never been in a tornado and don't really want to, but I would like to see one and get close enough to one to experience it somewhat first hand though.

It's all the hot air from the Democratic convention!

Seriously, truly cool shots. Hope you were able to sell them. Our local TV station pays for good news/weather shots. Does yours?

I saw that Port St. Lucie got hit but I didn't see any news coverage of Jupiter.  I imagined that they did since it's just a few miles south.

If we had stayed in FL for the second year of my contract, we would have luckily just missed it!!

That's actually one of the reasons we didn't stay the second year.  The storms are too unpredictable!  :-\  Jupiter had such a beautiful beach though!!

I'll have to contact my friends down there.

That's not really Colorado where Munch lives.

Munch lives in Mayaswellbe, Kansas.  ;D

Funny, while sitting here reading this a tornado just passed by a few hundred yards in front of the building I'm sitting in sucking water right up out of Hartwell Lake. I was about to jump into a floor sump, but it looks like it's passing by. Throwing around 55 gal. drums like paper. Wow! I never saw one that close before and I don't think I want to see another one.

We're in a drought in NW South Carolina right now so the rain we're getting from the recent Fl. hurricane is welcomed, but not the tornado.
