Hi all!  I'm Joe, 26, and I'm up on the north side of Milwaukee.  Just got out of the military and moved back from Shreveport, LA at the beginning of April.  Currently employed at Home Depot and will be returning to school at UWM in the fall to finish up a degree in bio/organic chemistry.  I homebrew my own beer and am a beer connoisseur of sorts.  Hope to get into the brewing industry some day.  Also have 5 years experience assembling and troubleshooting electronics and electromechanical systems and an AAS in the field, so if anyone is having problems of that sort, I'd be willing to help out.

I also have an 07 s2r1k  [thumbsup].  Have a fairly good assortment of tools including a rear stand and chain tension adjuster as well as the big socket needed to remove the rear wheel.  Haven't done a valve adjustment yet, but if anyone that has is planning on doing one soon, I'd like to sit in/help out.

She's silver in the pictures, but that is changing as I type this due to some scuffs incurred during the move.

as for tools, i have a rear stand, and am getting a front soon, all the large sockets, torque wrenches, a super getto home made stator cover puller, and a proper clutch tool.

Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself.  I am a displaced cheesehead...born and raised near Wausau until I joined the USAF (nearly 20 years ago!)  My family and I are now stationed in Valdosta, Georgia.  Good weather but straight, boring roads!  If any of you ever need a place to shack up for say...a trip to Daytona just drop me a line.  All cheeseheads are welcome as long as beer is payment...LOL

Alicia (aka Kyna) - originally from the West Coast, but now I bounce between Milwaukee and the Madison area.  I'm 25 and have one more year of grad school to go.  I take the MSF next month so I don't actually ride yet, but I make a mean cupcake.

Hello,

My name is Ryan and I live in Neenah (10 miles south of Appleton).  I am a recent transplant from Michigan (Detroit area, I was a local mod on the DML for the Motor City Monsters club) and I am working as a CAD designer.  My wife and I have been married almost 6 years and we don't have any children...yet.  I also am an avid golfer.

Now to the important stuff:  I have a 2001 M900i.e. Dark.  Pics to come.

Welcome Ryan are you a Wings fan?

Title: Re: Welcome COW's, introduce yourself

Nope.  I think I was the only person in Detroit that didn't like the Wings.  I'm not much of a hockey fan in general.  I do enjoy playing though, I just don't enjoy watching hockey.

J3,

What kind of pipes are those?

And just so this isn't a total threadjack - I went to UW and learned to ride while there (first time riding a "real" motorcycle was the 45 minute ride from Juneau to Madison - most thrills and scares of my life) but have since moved (actually quite a bit) and now live in (FAR) NW suburbs of Chicago.  I still have a number of friends and family in WI - Madison, Milwaukee, Neenah/Menasha and am up there quite a bit.  So I guess I'm not quite a COW, but a COW-wannabee.

Out of respect for the rules, I didn't vote in the poll, but I'm not quite sure about the COW name....maybe MonsterCOW?  A little something that says Ducati...

I don't see a "sightings" thread...I don't know if we have one or want one.  But, my brother and I were eating some gnarly gyros at Papa's on Buckeye Rd in Madison tonight and saw a clean blue Duck cruising by.

If you're on here, your ride is lookin' good!

If you want to start a sighted thread that would be cool. I would start one but I'm the only Duck I've seen in a month.

I'm Aaron, 31.  I live in Wausau with my wife of 3 years and 8 week old son.  I'm an independent contractor for Graebel Van Lines,  essentially a truck driver.  I don't get to ride as much as I'd like with this job.  Plus, I don't really know too many riders in the area, much less Duc riders.  I ride a a 07 S4R that I bought last March.  First v-twin and best bike I've ever owned.  Other bikes I don't have time too ride: 01 drz400 SM conversion, 04 CRF250, 07 Zuma (the wifes), 04 MXZ 800 Renegade.
I'm always interested in group rides even if I need to go solo to meet up.  So PLEASE let me know.

I was afraid it might be too loud, but even db killer out, it's quieter than most Harleys with pipes.  With the killer in, it's just a bit louder than stock.  There are sound and videos on utube of it. "termignoni shortie"

Hello

My name is Warren,  I'm 46 and live about 25 miles West of Oshkosh.  Just brought my 2000 750 home last night after several frustrating days of snow and rain.  I am an engineer, bladesmith/blacksmith, writer, rifle&pistol instructor and competitor etc.  I started riding last year.  Took the MSF class and got a 1985 650 Honda Nighthawk and put 3500 miles on it trying to pick up the skills most of you got when you were young and fearless.

I fell in love with Ducati's last fall when I took a SportClassic GT 1000 out for a spin at Corse but this little Monster popped up at a good price so......

If I can get up to speed with it comfortably in time for the Slimy Crud Run in May, I'll be there.

Take Care

Hey guys, new Duc owner in Madison, WI.  I bought Beck's '07 S4RS: (http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4071/4575599054_34519543f8_o.jpg)  (Pic stolen from the Crud Run thread.)  Bellagio, I was at the run with my Buell.  I was in the market for an S4R so was on the lookout for Monsters but I didn't see a single one!

I stopped by Ducati Milwaukee's grand opening last Saturday, who knows, maybe I ran into one of you.

Also visited Quaker Steak 'n Lube's Bike Night in Middleton last night and saw at least 5 Ducati's - a tricked out 996, a Red S2R1000 owned by a great guy named Shaw (Sha?), a M900, and more that I can't remember the details of.

Hope to see some of you around.  Drop me a line and beer's on me.

Ride safe,
Tim

Welcome aboard sws.  Becks old bike is wicked sexy!  He didn't even tell me he sold it to buy the S1000RR.  I wasn't at the Duc milwaukee grand opening party on Saturday, I had to drive my dad down to Charlotte, NC (he just moved down there).  I wish I was able to bring my bike down with me.  The foothills of The great Smoky mountians were awesome (even in a Dodge Caliber).  I was at Ducati night at the iron Horse last Thursday though.

I do a lot of rides in the Milwaukee area and sometimes find myself out near Madison, we'll have to meet up and  [drink].

Welcome - I live about 20 miles West of Oshkosh.  There are some pretty good roads around Mt Morris and up around Waupaca.  There are a bunch of decent routes I run frequently around here.  They are probably not quite as exciting as Kettle Moraine but there is a lot less traffic.  I run my 2000 750 and have lots of fun.  I'm just putting the bike away for the season but if you are interested, I can show you some routes out this way.

I've been down to Duc Milwaukee several times - they didn't have a huge selection of gear - mostly Alpinestar and Ducati branded stuff.  Their service is excellent though - I have been real happy with their work and prices.

Hey All,

I just bought an '02 Monster 620 from a coworker.  It has some great mods already done to it (chopped brake & clutch levers, chopped seat & front fender, chopped exhaust, lowered gauges and dropped handlebars, to name a few) and I look to do more.  This is my first bike and I am in the middle of my Motorcycle Safety course, so I am anxious to start riding.  Give me a few weeks to get comfortable, and give me a call if you ever wanna ride in the Milwaukee area.

Welcome!  I started with the MSF class also - it works.  Every time you go out to ride, think of something to get better at and work on it during your ride.  Let us know how it goes!

So far, so good on the class.  We were riding yesterday in the rain, which was fun. [moto]

Well I'm getting all the hard weather riding conditions out of the way.  Wednesday was rain, Sunday was gusty winds riding at slow speeds.  Maybe we'll get a few inches of snow in the next day or so...

Hi all,

Just posted my introduction on the main forum but figured I'd check in here as well.

Picked up my 2000 M750 last month (first duc) and have been sneaking into the garage to work on it since.

I live in Mount Horeb just west of Madison and have never been so ready for spring as I am this year.

I had to toss in another pic as they just add so much more to posts!

Beard was real, but was part of the deal with the wife, so I gladly shaved the beard to get my first monster!

Welcome!  I have a '00 750 also.  Hopefully see you at the Slimy Crud Run the first Sunday in May!

I was checking out their site yesterday.  The starting point at the Red Mouse is only 10 minutes from my house, so I better be there!
