Heard more than spotted, last night at Vita, heard a duc with loud pipes, and open clutch.

It wasn't mine being stoeln, since my new clutch is almost silent.

Then this morning I spotted what's his bucket with the SBK with the FILA kit on it that isn't an actualy FILA bike rolling around downtown LoDo way.

Funny that you mention the audible spotting. Every weekend since I've broken my arm I hear several Ducs with aftermarket exhausts and dry clutches go by my place. The first weekend I thought it was you jokers trying to rub it in that I can't ride yet.  >:(

There was a helmet hanging from a board right next to it, and air in the tires. No road rash or puddles. Tires fairly squared. Didn't look like it had 3 years of dust on it ... I waited for a bit, hoping the owner would come out, but no luck.

I took a Hyosung on trade at my dealership on a gsxr600 and just sold the Hyosung a couple of months ago.

Bike was yellow, but rider was in helmet and jacket/whatever so I couldn't say how young he was.

How was the bike? Fun, lame . . . ?

I took a close look at it and as you might imagine it looks ... well, CHEAP! it has poor build quality and cheap fasteners and brackets. The engine is nothing special and runs like nothing special.
The Dude traded it in before the paper tag had expired, what does that tell you?

For what we pay these days for Japanese sport bikes it's amazing. they are state of the art high-tech performance machines that come close to being full-on race bikes.
The quality of every part and bracket is top notch, they are dead reliable and perform like a formula 1 race car (ok I'm exaggerating but not much).

I think Japanese sport bikes are the best bargain in the US right now, I wonder how long that will remain the case?

If you want a cheap sportbike buy a good GSXR or R6 that's a few years old.

If you want a good deal on a new one go see MadIson, he'll hook you up. (and I mean it)  [moto]

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to buy one.  :P I just hear the overseas guys talk about them occasionally, so I was curious. Kinda like it would be fun to flog around some of those crappy little cars made in India (can't remember the name).  ;D

And, as much fun as the Jap bikes are (and reliable and affordable to boot), I still will stick with Ducs for a while. At least 'til I get older/richer and decide that I need another cruiser.

Yeah, but my mom almost disowned me when I sold my Yamaha cruiser. I know how much she enjoys it, and she's had some serious cardiac problems so we like to keep her smiling. Not to my understanding. DNA has not returned my call yet, and the shop I'm working with reports no success in getting through to anyone in a position to say anything more than, "I had cereal for breakfast."   :P

I often see Monsters around Cherry Creek. Most are kinda squidly, which surprises me a little.

Well, in this case I mean neighbor as someone living in the same complex as me, which is at Quebec/Illiff.  Although I'm dying to ride with the rest of you.  Maybe I'll be free this weekend.  Supposed to hit the dirt track though.

Oh, there was nothing squidly about the no-helmet dude and the chrome glass pack dude.  :)  Regardless, I'd still ride with them.  Or at least sit around and have some brews at the homestead.

You will probably not believe this, but it is true.

I spotted a 1098 in an apartment complex parking lot on Leetsdale near Quebec that was painted a dark metallic purple yesterday afternoon.  While the choice of color strikes me as odd, there are a fair number of alternatively painted Ducs on Craiglist in the Denver area right now.  :-\

Also saw a Sport Classic on Santa Fe near 6th avenue.

That is actually an 848(wet clutch spotted from a photo taken before).  The guy that rides it is pretty young and the last time I saw him riding he had no gear and a girl on the back in shorts and tank top.  It would seem that his common sense did not laps only when painting the bike.

What is black, fast, has 900 cc and one titty ? Titty's 900 SS on Lincoln and 6th at 11am. Was that you ? Herd you from the 7th floor of the building i am working in sounded goooood. Also spotted a red sport classic 1000 wb on 6th at Sheridan at about 3:45 who was that?

Don't know who it was, but I think I spotted the same bike EB on 6th at about 7:45am...

red monster heading west on sixth avenue around 3:45pm today.

Heading to Left hand saw a couple of red ducati's, one with a red lower fairing and a red/white tail, the other red and white fairing with a red tail.  Hmmmm unsual looking Ducati's.....ah yeah that's because they were Desmosedici RR's!!!!!!!!!  Tucked in behind and decided to follow towards Lyons.  They pulled into the gas station and I decided to fill up and get a better look as well.  Nice guys, Thad and Brian, they asked if I was the one behind them, I said "Yeah I was just waiting for you guys to pass someone so I could listen to those engines sing!!!!  They were heading up Suzy so I asked to follow:)  They obliged and I got to hear those beauty's rev!!!!  Actually listening to it just at the gas station was awesome, but it was even better when they were at speed and the two engine's started to fall into synch.  Well at Peak to Peak we stopped and chatted, I had to head into town.... wish I had chosen not to but that's a different matter.  Anyway it was great riding with those guys even if it was just up Suzy.  Well on Peak to Peak picked up another Monster rider headed towards Coal Creek.  Met Mountain Monster, I believe, then we hit coal creek and I headed for downtown.  Nice chance meeting of ducati riders this weekend :)

I  saw these guys at the N Boulder Amante's when I got back to town.  I just live a few blocks away, about half a block off Broadway.  The Ducati music on weekends can be pretty amazing.

At speed? Hmmm, 30-50 is one thing ..... maybe ah er at higher posted speeds, which we observed:)  Fabulous!!!!

I saw an red ST in full dress on P2P at shortly before that (I think). Wonder if they were one and the same.

Saw a bunch of ducs today on my way up to boulder on 6 & 93.

First was a Black 696.

Shortly thereafter were two red 9*6/8 era SBKs.

Both of those were in the south of golden/north of 70 area.

Next up was a red Monster around the entrance to Eldorado Canyon.

Last was a black Monster on the south end of Boulder.

No bags on this one, so my guess would be no, it was a different one.

This morning about 8:00 a.m.:  Black Hypermotard parked at the Jenny's gas station/McDonalds Express on Park Ave West & i70/I25 interchange.

My jacket on this same? red monster just west of Morrison at 4 on Sunday.   They were wearing

saw a couple turning off of 80th onto Indiana today.  She was a cool little purple 696 and he was on a black, maybe 1100.
