Title: CNC Machining
Post by: Some Dude on May 22, 2010, 12:38:46 PM
Hi I recently purchased a Haas cnc mill for my garage. I have access to a lathe as well.  If you have an idea or want some kind of custom part send me a PM and I will see what I can do.  I will be posting up pics of some parts I have already built pretty soon.  I have 15 years machining experience so this is not something I am just trying to figure out or play around with.

Thanks
For looking

It maybe nice to may post a per/hr example with examples of how long something took. God knows the last thing you need is a inbox exploding full of PMs.  ;D

I'm getting ready to start a new project bike and need some parts machined. Where are you located?

I could build some of those would there be much interest form other people?  The more I can build the lower the price will be.

Doing a custom Moto Guzzi V7. Was hoping you were around LA. I need triples with bar riser, foot pegs and a couple of other brackets to be machined.

Sounds like a fun project.  If you can draw what you need I should still be able to build it.  Let me know if you need anything & good luck.

Some Dude: Are you able to machine a top triple for older monsters('01 M750)? I'm looking for forks so I'm not sure if I'm gonna end up doing a 50mm bore or a 53mm bore for the forks but I figured I'd ask first.

How about some heelguards for the stock setups.  Mine look terrible & don't keep my right heel off the pipes.  Almost all other makes have some badass looking guards.

It's possible. which model bike do you have? Can you give me an example of what your thinking?

I can do it.

About how much would that run me? Would there be a difference in price for the different bore?

If I send you a CAD drawing would you be able to make it happen? I've got some rearsets I've designed that I would like to have machined.

I have a few things I need to wrap up first but they are on my list.  Btw are you making any progress on the regulator/rectifier thing?

Could you do rear brake lever and shifter for a 2001 M900S? They would be going on the stock rear set.
